Rawther cuisine is famous in the Palakkad region of Kerala.&nbsp;This biryani is well-known among the Rawther Muslim population in Kerala's Palakkad and Tamil Nadu's Coimbatore districts.&nbsp;However, it is becoming increasingly popular outside of these two regions. Jeerakasala, also known as Kaima, is a rice variety that is extremely close to the popular Seeraga samba type in Kerala.&nbsp;It's commonly used in recipes like Rawther biryani and Malabar or Thalaserry biryani.&nbsp;This rice type is grown in Kerala's Wayanad district.
